Trails at Rancho del Paso
Getting ready to leave the rancho on a trail ride
Trail ride heading out the gates
There is a vast network of one lane country roads to ride on at the rancho, in the level valley that lies below the rancho, or heading west into Chapala to join the Saturday night cowboys dragging Main on their horses (or in their cars).  You can wander for hours, go down to some of the little villages and stop for a beer, tie your horse up outside....  This is still a rural area, very little traffic on the dirt roads, you will encounter pedestrians, burros, ox- drawn carts, and other riders, with an occasional car or truck.
